Why digital forensics matters in scam files
Digital forensics in an investment or crypto matter is usually about integrity: chat exports with metadata, original URLs, email headers, screenshots that include full addresses, and device logs that show which app was installed. Without that, a “report scam” filing is thin and a consultation starts from scratch.
Blockchain analysis in plain language
Blockchain analysis follows transaction IDs across addresses. Analysts look for consolidation wallets, peel chains, bridges, and deposits into known exchange clusters. The goal is not magic recovery — it is attribution and timing for freeze letters or law-enforcement packets when the facts support them.
What we ask clients to collect
- Full wallet addresses and every tx hash.
- Exact domains and app names used (character-by-character).
- Chat exports from WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, or email.
- Bank or card statements for fiat on-ramps.

What do I save for digital forensics if I’m not sure yet?
Might be a scam, might be a slow broker. Are screenshots enough, or do I need full chat exports and every tx hash before blockchain analysis helps?
Deleted the app — did I ruin forensics?
Panicked and wiped the fake trading app. Still have email receipts. Can digital forensics work from bank rails alone?
Já tenho TX-IDs e export do Telegram — €27.400
Já passei desta fase. Quero saber se digital forensics + blockchain analysis ainda ajudam depois de 3 semanas, ou se já é tarde para freeze.

Analyst friend mapped hops to an exchange deposit. I have the report. Looking for whether a consultation helps package this for a formal report and next steps.
